Immanuel Lutheran College offers an Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) program where parents can have peace of mind knowing that their children are well cared for and engaged in safe and fun activities. Outside School Hours Care is available for Prep to Year 7 students and children are provided with a healthy and tasty afternoon tea.
The ILC OSHC programs follow the philosophy of the National Quality Framework for School Aged Care – My Time, Our Place. Our activities assist with all aspects of a child’s physical, intellectual, social and emotional development and are created to meet the five outcomes of the framework which are:

Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners
Outcome 5: Children are effective communicators
Our After School Care and Vacation Care programs are themed around children’s interests which include various sports, craft, cooking activities and current events in the community such as Earth day or ANZAC day. Children are encouraged to form friendships with others in their age group and older children assist younger and new children to settle in. Children and parents are encouraged to help plan activities and their input is valued. The program acts as a guide throughout the Term or holiday period and children are always able to choose to participate in the programmed activity or free play of their choice promoting a sense of agency.
The service is conveniently located in its own room next to the Junior School Tuckshop.
ILC OSHC utilises College facilities such as the A.J. Jericho Stadium, pool, sports ovals, lecture theatre, library and computer rooms.
Our staff are committed to ensuring that children are in quality care. Staff are experienced and qualified to provide a safe, friendly and interactive environment. They actively model positive behaviours and values to the children in their care.
As an experienced OSHC provider we have the highest standards of quality assurance in our systems, facilities and programs.

Our centre is a non-profit organisation and relies solely on fees, subsidies and grants. Fee amounts cover the cost of overheads and excursions only.
Child Care Benefit (CCB) and Child Care Rebate (CCR) may be available to your family. Please contact your local Centrelink office for eligibility.
ILC OSHC welcomes students from other schools. We provide a transport service from Stella Maris Primary School to after school care.
Services covered by the National Quality Framework have been assessed and rated against the seven Quality Areas of the National Quality Standard and the Education and Care Services National Regulations. The assessment and rating process aims to drive continuous quality improvement for services and provide families with better information for making choices about their children’s education and care. The overall rating for a service is determined by the combination of the ratings achieved in each Quality Area.
Each state and territory Regulatory Authority undertakes the assessment and rating process. The Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority, ACECQA, is responsible for ensuring consistency in assessment and ratings across Australia, assessing services for the Excellent rating and creating awareness in the sector and community about the assessment and rating process.
