GOOD NEWS LUTHERAN OSHC

Good News Lutheran School OSHC – Middle Park

At Good News Lutheran School OSHC, we believe that childhood is a fundamentally valuable stage of foundation building for the underpinning constitution of the individual child. We believe that children are God’s blessing within our community and loved unconditionally by God. We aim to encourage and support families.

As a community we are guided by core values and we strive to reflect the characteristics of our loving God through faith, hope and love, restorative justice, compassion, forgiveness, patience and servitude. All participants of the service work holistically and collaboratively in partnership with each other and the wider community. We acknowledge and celebrate the expertise of parents and encourage children and families to participate in service planning, programs and operations.

As Educators, we see ourselves as promoters, supporters, protectors, supervisors and educators operating under professional standards of practices, interactions and relationships. We believe all children have the ability to grow through learning and acknowledge that we as adults learn from children through the grace of understanding.

Our goal is to promote positive growth for service delivery to all school aged children. GNOSHC will always operate under the supporting guidance and leadership of the Good News Lutheran School Committee and Council in conjunction with Queensland Lutheran Early Childhood Services.

Quality of Service

Services covered by the National Quality Framework have been assessed and rated against the seven Quality Areas of the National Quality Standard and the Education and Care Services National Regulations. The assessment and rating process aims to drive continuous quality improvement for services and provide families with better information for making choices about their children’s education and care. The overall rating for a service is determined by the combination of the ratings achieved in each Quality Area.

Each state and territory Regulatory Authority undertakes the assessment and rating process. The Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority, ACECQA, is responsible for ensuring consistency in assessment and ratings across Australia, assessing services for the Excellent rating and creating awareness in the sector and community about the assessment and rating process.
